Prodigal to become director of administration
Jenny Ahlén has been appointed as director of administration and deputy head of University Services. Her most recent post was as quality assurance and development manager at the Department of Environment and Urban Planning in Linköping Municipality. Jenny returns to LiU where she has previously both studied and worked.
Jenny Ahlén is fully familiar with Linköping University after first studying psychology here and subsequently working as lecturer and study adviser in the Department of Behavioural Sciences and Learning in the period 2005-2008. She also worked in several projects connected to issues of diversity. After leaving LiU, she has been, among other things, organisation and operational development officer at Region Östergötland, head of HR at Narrative AB, head of business area at Linköpings Stadsmission, and finally department manager in Linköping Municipality.
“The role as director of administration is both broad and important, and we are delighted that Jenny will come to work with us. Some of the areas she will work with as deputy head of University Services, are to develop the University Services' operational and financial processes, and give greater depth to our dialogue with the university’s core activities”, says University Director Kent Waltersson.
“This is an amazingly exciting job, and I’m looking forward to improving and making more efficient the university’s administrative processes, in collaboration with managers, co-workers and students”, says Jenny Ahlén.
Jenny Ahlén will take up her post at LiU on 30 August.
