Survey of visitors to liu.se

People who visit liu.se in the period 15 March to 15 April will be presented with a survey on entering the website. LiU is participating in an investigation together with around ten other institutions of higher education in Sweden. This year, the part of the website centred on students will also be included for the first time.

Bild: Popup-rutan med undersökningenThis is the second time that LiU will participate in a month-long survey of visitors carried out by Userneeds, together with around ten other institutions of higher education in Sweden. The aim is to obtain more information about how visitors, not least potential students, use and experience liu.se. Insights from the survey will be used to improve the website and in the student recruitment activities of the Communications and Marketing Division, in collaboration with the faculties. Results will be shared among the institutions taking part, so that they can compare themselves with the others.

The survey in the spring of 2020 gathered 9695 replies.
“The survey last year gave insight into how we perform when it comes to such things as user-friendliness and design. The results were on the whole good, but we have subsequently made several changes. We have improved such aspects as accessibility, navigation and speed of loading at liu.se”, says Anna Björk, head of the Website Management and Media Lab in the Communications and Marketing Division.

“Around a quarter of those who replied last year described themselves as potential students, which of course makes the survey interesting for us working with student recruitment. It’s valuable to gain information about the target group and what they are looking for when they visit liu.se. We are interested in what future students want to know more about, and what they consider important when choosing where to study”, says Sara Råsberg, who leads the student recruitment team.

Visitors to liu.se will see a pop-up window when they arrive at the website. It is only possible to answer the survey once, and the pop-up will not be displayed again if you close it, or have already answered.

The institutions participating this spring are:

Örebro University

  • Mid Sweden University
  • Umeå University
  • Blekinge Institute of Technology
  • University West
  • University of Borås
  • University of Gävle
  • Dalarna University

The institutions participating in the autumn are:
