Walk the Talk – re-inaugurated
The Walk the Talk exhibition has been in place since 2012. It has recently been updated and extended with new stations, and May saw an event to re-inaugurate it, including a guided tour of three of them.
Walk the Talk is a manifestation of measures for sustainability and energy conservation at LiU, and is present both at Campus Valla and in Norrköping. Evidence that the university has been highly successful with its environmental work comes from its several awards as “most eco-friendly attitude” in the international student barometer.
Visiting the exhibition will, for example, explain how LiU manages surface water, and how the water can be purified through vegetation in the university park. Walk the Talk also brings you to energy-smart properties with lots of daylight and low energy consumption, district heating, district cooling, solar cells, and solutions for reuse and waste management. There’s much to observe and discuss on Walk the Talk.
“We are profoundly grateful to everyone who has been involved in Walk the Talk”, said deputy vice-chancellor Margareta Bachrack Lindström at the end of her speech, as she declared the exhibition at Campus Valla reopened.
