Seminar on Open Access
What is Plan S and how does it affect LiU? Johanna Nählinder, research support coordinator at the University Library, will provide information about the ongoing work in open access publishing, in a seminar on 14 February.
Plan S is an initiative from several major research funding bodies in Europe, intended to influence those who receive research grants from them to publish in pure open access journals. The plan has an ambitious time perspective. This means that researchers who receive funding from, for example, FORTE, FORMAS or RJ, will eventually not be able to publish in journals that require subscription. This may have far-reaching consequences for academic publishing.
All are warmly welcome!
- Thursday 14 February, 3.15 pm
- Room U10, C Building, Campus Valla
- The seminar will be held in English.
The seminar is part of the IEI seminar series, and is organised by the IEI research council.
The initiative for Plan S has been taken by Science Europe, the European Commission and the European Research Council (ERC). Science Europe is an association of European research-funding organisations and research-performing organisations.
