LiU calls for dismissal of professor
This summer Linköping University received three internal complaints regarding the professor, claiming inappropriate behaviour of a sexual nature. Linköping University’s Chief Legal Adviser Christina Helmér has investigated the matter and found that the professor has breached relevant legislation as well as LiU regulations and guidelines.
”We are taking this matter very seriously. Linköping University has zero tolerance when it comes to offensive discrimination and harassment. This professor no longer has our confidence,” says Vice-Chancellor Helen Dannetun.
The Swedish National Disciplinary Offence Board is the body that makes decisions regarding disciplinary measures and dismissal of professors employed at Swedish universities. In its report to the board, Linköping University has requested the immediate dismissal of the professor.
