Leadership at LiU
All leaders, regardless their levels in the organization, are important to LiU. Leadership at LiU is the foundation for the university's work to reach the strategic goals.
The purpose of LiU's competence supply management LiU:s ledarförsörjning is to communicate a mutual outlook on leadership at LiU, to show what is expected from leaders and clearly define the role as leader.
LiU provides several different leadership programmes to support its leaders, e.g.: Introductory Leadership Development Programme (for those who are not leaders yet), LiU's Management Programme (for leaders with staff liability), Development Programme for Prospective Administrative Managers. In addition there are Stand-alone modules such as Difficult Dialogues, Situational Leadership, Financial Control, Change Management etc. For more information please refer to the contacts below.
As a manager or leader at LiU you can receive support from personnel consultants at the Department for Human Resources. The support provided consists of advice or coaching regarding leadership or management issues. You can also get help in finding and running processes for group development.
