Telephone repair

If necessary, it is possible to borrow a telephone while yours is undergoing service. A telephone on loan can be obtained from the reception desk in the B Building.

Case management

When we receive a cost estimate from the workshop, we pass this on to the user. The user then replies to that email.

We interpret this reply as approval from the person who has economic responsibility. If the owner of the telephone does not have economic responsibility, we assume that the owner has informed the person who has economic responsibility about the cost.

Costs

Cases dealt with under guarantee are free of charge, and a cost estimate is not sent to the owner.

In cases that require repair, an invoice is issued for the actual cost of the repair. The telephone owner receives a cost estimate by email after the workshop has examined the telephone. It is then up to the owner to decide whether to repair the telephone.

NB! Unless the case is covered by guarantee, a minimum fee of SEK 320 (plus MOMS) is always charged.

Cases under guarantee

If a repair is to be considered as under guarantee, the following conditions must be met:

  • The owner has taken a backup of the data, deactivated “Find my iPhone" (instructions, external link) if it is an iPhone, and deleted the complete contents.
  • The owner has charged the telephone from a wall charger for at least 20 minutes, and has reset the telephone, without these actions solving the problem.
  • The product is not older than the guarantee period specified by the manufacture. This is 1 year for Apple products, 2 years for most other manufacturers.
  • The product has no damage caused by external influences (such as a cracked display or similar damage).
  • The owner approves that the unit may be exchanged and/or sent for service outside of Sweden. This may be necessary because certain manufacturers only allow their mobile phones to be serviced at workshops that they have certified.
