MinIT has been updated
MinIT was updated on 14 November and it's also open to students. The update provides a function for resetting a forgotten password.
The biggest change in this update of MinIT is that students will be given access to the service. In the future, students will come here to install the licensed software they may need for their studies. Thus, this function will migrate from the student portal to MinIT.
A new function available to all users is the possibility to reset a LiU password that has been forgotten. The login pages for LiU systems will provide a link entitled “Forgotten password?”, which will bring the user to MinIT. Passwords can be reset by confirming your identity with login information from antagning.se, an eduID, or with the aid of an activation key obtained from the account manager at your department (or equivalent).
Read and accept the regulations for using IT resources
Some co-workers will see a notice in MinIT concerning “Updated regulations for the use of IT resources”. When you started work at LiU, you accepted a document that specified regulations about the use of LiU’s IT resources. If you see a notice asking you to read and accept the regulations, it means that they have been updated since then, and you must now examine and approve the new version.
