To access LiU's computing services, computers must be connected to the network. For the most part connections are made through the wired network outlet in offices and other spaces. The IT Subscription (IT-abonnemanget) includes three wired connections: two for computing and one for telephony.
The IT Division takes overall responsibility for the wired network service, including normal cabling and equipment necessary to connect to the core network. Note that some departments have elected to manage their own wired connections.

The connection speed for wired connections is 100Mbps. Automatic address assignment using DHCP is part of the service.
Ordering/cancling network access
For network access at Campus Valla, Campus Norrköping and Malmstens, contact the IT Helpdesk at 282828. For access at Campus US, please contact your department's IT support staff. Detailed information is available in Swedish only.
Some outlets are marked Netlogon. When connecting your computer to one of these outlets you will have to log in using your LiU-ID. Note that netlogon is in the process of being decommissioned.
