Internal processes and timeframe for nominations for the Wallenberg Foundations

The Wallenberg Foundations is the collective name for the public and private foundations funded by individual members of the Wallenberg family. The Foundations grant funding to excellent researchers and research projects beneficial to Sweden, and have since 1917 granted about 35 billion Swedish kronor, of which almost eleven billion over the past five years.

In general, applications to the Wallenbergs Foundations requires internal prioritisation processes which select the most promising research projects. Hence, at LiU there are procedures where the vice-chancellor, along with the advisory board, prioritises and approves applications. Information about the process and timeframe for nominations are availible here.
