P2 – Limited restrictions

An ongoing pandemic within Sweden’s borders, but with relatively small effects on LiU’s operations. Few or no restrictions in place.

  1. Distancing
    At least 1 arm’s length, preferably 2 metres.
  2. Estimated group size
    Normal condition according to need, within the framework of any limitations set by the premises, subject to a maximum of 300 people.
  3. Presence on the premises
    A certain adaptation of presence (principally limited by the group size and distance between individuals).
  4. Average physical presence, relative to normal
    75%.
  5. Access
    Normal condition according to need.
  6. Work on LiU premises
    People work alternately, subject to adaptation to requirements, group size and distance.
  7. Meetings
    Adaptation to distancing, according to need.
  8. Service-related travel – domestic
    Normal condition according to need, with, however, strong restrictions for the affected regions.
  9. Service-related travel – foreign
    Only travel with high priority, and within the framework of recommendations from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs.  A directive that determines which travel has priority will be issued by the head of department or equivalent person. During planning, consideration is to be taken to the possibility that the travel may be subject to recommendations from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, or the restriction and quarantine provisions of other countries, such as when transiting through such countries.
  10. Communication
    Broad emergency communication, with preparative and preventive elements.
  11. Crisis management
    The crisis management team to be activated through a directed decision.
  12. Lunchrooms, coffee rooms and personnel rooms (social spaces)
    A certain degree of adaptation to such factors as group size and the possibility to keep at a distance.
  13. Cleaning services
    Adaptation to such factors as presence on the premises and areas with increased risk of infection, according to need.
  14. Teaching
    Adaptation to distancing and group size, according to need. Some use of remote methods is recommended.
  15. Examination
    Adaptation to distancing and group size, according to need. The use of remote methods may be considered.
  16. Education in the workplace
    As specified by the host, based on risk assessment.
  17. Independent study on LiU premises
    An appeal to students to limit presence, based on access to facilities and the possibility of keeping at a distance.
  18. Exchange students travelling abroad
    Following recommendations from the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and insurance conditions imposed by the Legal, Financial and Administrative Services Agency. Any arrival or reception restrictions imposed by the receiving country or partner university must be observed. If strong advice against travel has been issued or if strict restrictions have been imposed that affect many of the countries in which LiU students normally carry out study or placements abroad, all study and placements abroad are to be cancelled.
  19. Exchange students arriving from abroad
    As specified by any arrival prohibitions in force. Special measures relating to visitors from affected regions. LiU is responsible for providing information about the situation in Sweden to partners abroad and to visiting students.
  20. Commissioned education
    According to contract with the commissioner, with adaptation to distance and group size. Some use of remote methods is recommended.
  21. Events on LiU premises booked by students
    An appeal to students to limit events, based on group size, access to facilities and the possibility of keeping at a distance. The organiser must follow LiU’s currently valid guidelines.
  22. Outdoor events booked by students
    An appeal to students to limit events, based on group size, access to facilities and the possibility of keeping at a distance.
  23. Reception activities (or equivalent)
    Adaptation of the extent and form. An appeal to organisers to limit events, based on group size, access to facilities and the possibility of keeping at a distance. The organiser must follow LiU’s currently valid guidelines. 
  24. Presence in labs
    People work alternately, subject to adaptation to requirements, group size and distance.
  25. Data collection on site
    Adaptation to distancing and group size, according to need. Special consideration must be taken to research subjects and informants in risk groups. The use of remote methods may be considered.
  26. Research located off campus
    As specified by the host, with consideration of LiU’s restrictions relating to service-related travel.
  27. Thesis defences
    Adaptation to distancing, number of participants, refreshments where relevant, and logistical flow, according to need. The use of remote methods should be considered.
  28. Conferences
    An appeal to the organiser to limit events, based on group size, access to facilities and the possibility of keeping at a distance. Restrictive practices or consideration of restrictive practices relating to conference participants from affected regions. Approval from the head of department or equivalent is required for conferences held on LiU premises.
  29. External visitors (such as visiting researchers)
    As specified by any arrival prohibitions in force. Special restrictive practices or consideration of restrictive practices relating to conference participants from specific affected regions.
