Large volumes of spam spread through the university network

A large number of computers are currently blocked from using Eduroam at LiU, after they were used to spread large volumes of spam.

Do you find it difficult to find what you’re looking for on Inside LiU and LiU Students? The Website Management Office has now restructured and improved the search engine to make it easier to find what you’re looking for.

Library to close

The Valla Library will be closed throughout July as it moves to the Student Building. In addition, interlibrary loans will not be available at any of the university libraries from 21 June until 28 July.

Återbruk for students

Återbruket, the LiU system for the reuse of furniture and other equipment, was an immediate success when it opened in April 2016. It’s now time to take the next step. Under the auspices of the student society Navitas and with economic support from the climate fund, Studentåterbruket is now starting to take form.

Switch to Teams

It's time to switch to use Teams instead of Skype for Business. Skype for Business will no longer work for chat and conversations with LiU contacts after 15 May. Read more here.

Evaliuate is evaluated

LiU’s new course evaluation system Evaliuate was launched in the autumn of 2018. The system has now been assessed, both among students and co-workers, which has resulted in several changes and improvements.

Cash machine to be withdrawn

The cash machine in the Zenit Building on Campus Valla will be taken out of use on 16 May. It will be emptied of cash on 15 May. The cash machine in Kårallen will remain in use.

Information about book borrowing exposed online

Information about library users and books borrowed through the self-service machines in the LiU libraries has been exposed online since 2012. The breach of security has been caused by the erroneous implementation of the administrative interface in the machines by the supplier. The library is taking the event seriously, and the machines have been taken out of use.
